On October 23, Physicians Choice Laboratory Services announced its intention of hiring over 350 people for its new facility in Rock Hill. The company will invest $24 million into its new facility and the plan is to have it up and running by July 2013. Hiring is already under way for the open positions.

Physicians Choice Laboratory Services provides urine and oral fluid testing to assist doctors with patient therapeutic monitoring. Headed by a medical doctor, the laboratory teams carry certification by top monitoring agencies for performing medical testing.

The company is consolidating operations in the new facility, located at Riverwalk Business Park near US Highway 21 and I-77. They chose South Carolina due to its business environment and skilled workforce availability.
