Henderson Properties would like to recognize ABM Landscaping for partnering with us to help a revitalizing community with their landscaping needs. While the community seeks approval and funding for a new landscaping contract, the grass around the townhomes has grown extremely high. Henderson Properties Community Association Manager Kelsey Plummer wanted to do something to help in the interim, so she reached out to some vendors, and ABM gladly volunteered a half day to care for the community lawns. To the delight of residents, ABM crews mowed the grass at the Vantage Pointe townhomes on LaSalle Street in Charlotte on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. They even cleaned up the grass cuttings from the sidewalks.

This previously foreclosed property is being redeveloped by Builders of Hope with the City of Charlotte.  The community was part of the Charlotte Comprehensive Neighborhood Improvement Program before Builders of Hope took over development. Builders of Hope’s mission is to increase the availability of quality, safe, and affordable housing for low income working families through rehabbing distressed properties. Their slogan is to Rebuild, Revitalize, and Transform.

Vantage Pointe is being redeveloped in phases. The homeowners association was recently re-established by Builders of Hope and will be operated by the developer until a certain number of homes are sold; then it will transition to a homeowner board. Builders of Hope hired Henderson Properties to perform some of the board’s functions, such as collecting assessments.
