Welcome to Henderson Properties!

Henderson Properties welcomes top notch communities and staff to our Association Division! From 8 to 1,000+ homes, Board Members trust Henderson Properties to provide the tools they need to manage their associations effectively.

New Communities

As of January 1, Henderson began managing the following communities:

  • Peachtree Hills Homeowners Association has 195 single family homes and is managed by Heather Todd.
  • Walden Pond Homeowners Association in Waxhaw, NC has 115 single family homes with a pond, and Heather Todd is the Manager.
  • Forest Grove Community Association, Inc. in York County, South Carolina will have 134 single family homes and a pool. DR Horton chose Henderson Properties, as we manage other communities successfully for the developer. Erin Yarbro is the Manager.
  • The Monticello Terrace Homeowners Association, Inc. is a condominium community with 15 units near our office. Kelsey Plummer is the Manager.
  • Prosperity Village Homeowners Association, Inc., located near the new section of I-485, includes 195 townhomes and a pool. The Board appreciates Henderson’s in-house maintenance team and project manager. Krystal Rogers manages this community.

February

  • The Courtyards on Lake Norman Homeowners Association began with Henderson on February 1. This is a new community being developed by Epcon Communities, and will have 67 townhomes and pool.  Matt Pryor is the Manager.

March 1

  • The Watermark Condominiums Association, Inc., with 96 condominiums, pool, clubhouse, and pond, will be managed by Kelsey Plummer.
  • As of March 11th, Henderson will begin managing the accounting functions for Northampton Condominium Association, Inc.

Welcome to Lauren Scheer!

Lauren is Henderson Properties’ new Association Division Manager. Lauren comes to Henderson from Nevada, where she operated her own association management company since 1980. She was instrumental in growing her company to manage 600+ homeowner associations, and in navigating the team through a management system conversion. Lauren holds the highest designation for a community manager, Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM), from Community Associations Institute. In addition to launching the widely acclaimed Dedicated Community Association Leadership (DCAL) educational program for Boards of Directors, she has coauthored numerous other trainings for pre-licensing and continuing education.

Lauren holds a Master of Business Administration and is also a Licensed Supervising Community Manager and Association Management Specialist (AMS).

Congrats to Heather Todd on being promoted to Community Association Manager!

Heather has worked for the Henderson Properties Association Division since 2011 in various capacities, and most recently as Community Association Manager Associate (CAMA). Heather manages a portfolio of communities from our Indian Trail office. As a CAM, Heather is the Board’s primary contact and takes care of all action items assigned to her. Heather ensures that violation letters are processed, meeting documents are prepared, vendors are vetted, and financials are in order. Heather’s experience as a Legal Accounts Coordinator for associations is an asset to her communities in helping them collect assessments. Heather worked for two other Charlotte area association management companies before Henderson. Heather holds a B.A. in Psychology from Winthrop University.

Shelly Henderson
Shelly calls herself a “Charlottean” because her family has been there since her elementary school days. She serves as Henderson Properties’ co-founder, along with her husband Phil, managing the day-to-day operations, social media branding and leadership development. Her different life experiences, both positive and challenging, earned the title to her first book Starting From Scratch. Shelly has a servant’s heart and leads her company with purpose and passion. She is mom to two sons who continue as young adults to make her heart swell.
