Henderson Properties is calling on the local community to donate non-perishable food items to a local food pantry to help needy families. Donations are accepted through September 26 at all Henderson Properties offices, and will be donated to Second Harvest.

Henderson Properties, a real estate and property management firm based in Charlotte, NC, has announced its annual food drive to support Second Harvest Food Bank. Through barrels placed in the company’s offices throughout the Greater Charlotte region, Henderson Properties will collect food to fight hunger in communities throughout North Carolina.

This year seven Henderson-managed properties are participating in the food drive: 28th RO Condominiums, Lake Park Townhomes, Brookstone, Emerald Lake, Braefield, Villages of Leacroft and Woodcroft at Davis Lake. Employees from Henderson Properties will drop off empty bags to all the homes in these communities and return the following week to pick up the filled bags.

Donations can also be brought to any of Henderson Properties office locations, which are in Charlotte, Indian Trail, Davidson and Fort Mill. Those interested in participating in the food drive can bring non-perishable food items, paper products, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and baby care items to the offices and place them in the box.

Second harvest food bank charlotte“Last year we collected around 1,400 pounds of food – two full pickup trucks worth of food! We are excited about the opportunity to participate again this year, and are hopeful that we will meet or even exceed our total from last year!” said Phil Henderson, President of Henderson Properties. “It’s always exciting to see how giving our communities are, and how they come together to donate to those who are in the most need.”

Donations can be brought in now through September 26. On Friday morning, September 26, Henderson Properties will collect the boxes and transfer them to the Second Harvest food truck. If you have any questions, or need more information, please call 704.535.1122
